The Royal. Sunday 21st June. 7pm. ITV.

Yes, it's back. Reports of its death have been slightly exaggerated. ITV say it's resting. The press say it's axed. The truth is out there somewhere. Meanwhile, Dr Ormerod returns to rescue a farmer trapped beneath a tractor. Mr Rose kills an old chum on the operating table and life in 1960's Elsinby is as complicated as ever. This weeks episode was made in 2007 and there are another fourteen episodes in the can. For those of you who follow and enjoy The Royal, there are six episodes in this series. The rest will hopefully be transmitted next year.
